Liz Lerman’s Critical Response Process online workshop for Musicians
May 25, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm$10
Created by dancer/choreographer Liz Lerman, the Creative Response Process (CRP) has earned worldwide recognition for its effectiveness in getting to the root of issues that confound artists about their own work. (Think of “writer’s block” or being stuck at deciding how to end a musical composition.) This is a method by which artists are led and encouraged to find their own creative answers to their dilemmas as they move through the process of art-making. Here is a link to a video of Liz Lerman talking about the origins of CRP…
So, you say you don’t create the piece, you only perform it? Well, you have myriad creative, interpretive choices to make, as well! Learn how to ask the right questions about your work that will propel you into the next, meaningful level of performance. Learn also how to respond to other artists in ways that will uplift them, and provide them with useful information; rather than empty platitudes.
I am Susan Schwarz, and I have been a practitioner and facilitator of CRP for 16 years. This method holds a very special place in my heart, because it treats artists and their peers, with such genuine humanity, energized support, and thoughtful inquisitiveness. In all my years as a professional musician, I have never experienced anything as powerful or effective.
Come join us for this important webinar! You will work during these two hours, but I believe you will enjoy it. You also may find, as many do, that CRP is an excellent tool, not only for your artistic life, but also for your personal and professional interactions.
Tickets to attend the webinar are $10 + ticket fees. Everyone is an active learner in CRP.
